silent for so long

when the words finally came

they struck to my core

unexpected warmth

a day so calm and lazy

feels too good to be

pink rays of sunlight

split the seam between mountains

and the dark dusk sky

haven’t turned my thoughts

in the direction of you

for quite some time now

my life has been blessed i’ve so many things for which i can be thankful

i go on with life

knowing somewhere far away
