distant sky sparkles
lit with the gold rays of sun
over my house, rain
goodbye
i said my goodbyes
then i turned and walked away
and never looked back
in transit
phone poles whiz by each one taking me farther away from my love
getting away
removing myself
from ground zero, clears my head
restores sanity
road
the long open road
gives my mind time to unwind
it’s peaceful out here
